St Johann/Alpendorf lies 600-800m above sea level, about 60km south of the Mozart city Salzburg and, with its ‘Pongauer cathedral’, is considered the main town of the area. Our holiday resort steeped in tradition has made a name for itself as the region’s most important shopping and tourism centre.

The Hahnbaum lifts will take you directly from the town centre to St Johann’s traditional skiing mountain (1,200m). This relatively small local skiing area can be recommended as a family-friendly alternative to the enormous ‘Ski amadé’ skiing area, which begins in Alpendorf.

In summer, St Johann is the starting point for excursions to numerous attractions and for beautiful hiking tours. The rugged and romantic Liechtenstein gorge is definitely worth a visit.
